External | The Korea Times: Chiharu Shiota explores uncertainty of life in Busan

BUSAN ― Artist Chiharu Shiota is often compared to a "human spider" as the artist weaves webs around objects and bodies. Her life-size installations engulf the space and the viewer, stirring up sensations of both uneasiness as well as coziness.

The 47-year-old Japanese artist unraveled her life's path ridden with pain and uncertainty at "Shiota Chiharu: The Soul Trembles" at the Busan Museum of Art in Korea's southern port city.

External | The Met : Gerhard Richter: Painting After All

The Met will present a major loan exhibition devoted to the work of one of the greatest artists of our time: Gerhard Richter (German, born Dresden 1932). On view at The Met Breuer from March 4 through July 5, 2020, Gerhard Richter: Painting After All will span the artist’s six decade-long preoccupation with the twin modes of painterly naturalism and chromatic abstraction, in relation to photographic and other representational iconographies.

External | Artprice : Kiki Smith in Paris… last chance!

Curator Camille Morineau organised the vast retrospective of Kiki Smith’s work that is currently showing in the 10,600 ft² of the Monnaie de Paris until 9 February 2020. It’s the first solo show by this American artist in a French institution and it represents a unique opportunity to discover her singular, poetic and powerful universe, her pantheistic vision of the world and the intense femininity of her œuvre. Tracing forty years of creation, the exhibition brings together a hundred works: sculptures, drawings, engravings, tapestries, stained glass… and even medals.
